Capri Bistrot
MACH Architektur
Capri Bistrot is a passion project by four creative restaurateurs and entrepreneurs from Zurich. With Capri, the tradition of the restaurant first opened on Dufourstrasse in 1950 continues, infusing this historic location with new life. As a contemporary bistrot, Capri embodies a distinct lifestyle characterized by hospitality and cosmopolitan charm.
In close collaboration with the clients, MACH Architektur reimagined the Capri Bistrot with a fresh new look. By harmoniously blending tradition with modernity, an inspiring interior emerged; international in character, yet radiating both groundedness and playful elegance. The over four-meter-high ceilings lend the space a sense of grandeur, accentuated by elegant furnishings and premium materials. Tactile quality played a central role in the choice of finishes. Refined woodwork, soft leather surfaces, and textured tiles allow the space to be experienced both visually and physically. Dark-toned fixtures and rich colors create a warm, inviting atmosphere, perfect for lingering and enjoying the moment. At the heart of it all stands the striking new bar featuring a polished rose quartz countertop.
