Confiserie Honold

Stücheli Architekten

The residential and commercial building, dating from 1876, is situated on Rennweg, an exclusive address in Zurich’s Old Town. It has been owned by the Honold family since 1905, who founded the long-established confectionery there. The building is now undergoing a complete renovation, with seven rental flats being created above the shop and café. On behalf of the owner and the architects, Studio Willen is documenting a piece of history and accompanying the extensive structural transformation over a two-year period.

The building’s history dates back to the 14th century, as evidenced by structural elements that remain to this day.
